Elements is an abstract series of work exploring colour and texture. Inspired by the earth’s basic elements Fire, Water, Earth and Air. I paint in this series when I want to explore pure abstraction, the behaviour of layers of paint, glazes, fluid motion and scraping away to reveal previous layers.
